The staff

Julie Prior, Pre-school Manager

Julie joined Gamlingay Rainbow pre-school in September 2012 and is educated to NVQ Level 3. Julie has over 20 years’ experience in childcare and education. Julie has previously worked as a room-leader in a day nursery, a learning support assistant in a school and a deputy and SENCO in a pre-school. Julie also brings a wealth of knowledge from various Foundation Stage training courses that she has attended over the years. Julie is the DP for Child protection, SENCO and ENCO for Rainbow pre-school.


Lucy Magill, Pre-school Deputy

Lucy joined Gamlingay Rainbow pre-school in April 2018 and is educated to NVQ Level3. Prior to joining Gamlingay pre-school Lucy has previously been a Children’s nanny and worked in day nurseries. Lucy has a wealth of childcare experience stretching over 20years.

Lucy is our named ENCO.

Kelly Hall, Pre-school Assistant

Kelly joined Rainbow pre-school in September 2013 and is educated to a NVQ Level 2. Kelly has previously worked in nursery settings, caring for children aged from 3 months to 5 years. Kelly brings with her of 13 years of experience working in childcare.

Kelly has completed ECAT and SENCO training.


Paula Wilson, Pre-school Assistant

Paula joined pre-school in September 2014. She began by helping at committee events and being a parent helper, she proved to be a great asset to Rainbow pre-school so we asked her to join the team. She has now successfully completed her NVQ Level 2.

Paula is the DP for child protection and runs Forest school.




Selena Allcroft, Relief Pre-school Assistant

Selena has recently completed training in early years. She began working for us as a volunteer mum and we asked her to join the team.

All our staff at Rainbow are DBS checked. They have Paediatric First aid training, Safeguarding, Food hygiene and have a range of qualifications and skills that are appropriate to working in pre-school and that are approved by OFSTED.
