This term we have been busy preparing our bigger children for school, They have had their visits to The First School to meet the teachers and explore the classrooms.
Everybody said cheese to the camera when we had our school photographer in.
The committee held a Ladies Pamper evening and raised a total of £126.87 for the pre-school. Thank you to the committee for organising this event and those who came. Please look out for future events that they will be holding, they are both fun and help raise much needed funds for the pre-school.
We received a very generous donation from the Co-Op and have put it to good use doing up our garden and buying a lovely new mud kitchen which the children enjoy. Our fundraising has gone towards our sports coach who comes in once a week, and some was used to pay for the coach that took staff, parents and children to Gullivers Land. We were fortunate the weather was lovely and we all had fun.
We still have a lot to do at rainbow, with our Graduation, Teddy bears picnic and end of term party.
On Saturday we will be holding our Family Fun Day, With lots of fun things to do, face painting, bouncy castle,BBQ, Ice cream van. Please come along and support your pre-school as all funds raised will be put towards improving our pre-school.
This is a much loved recipe by all our children:
6oz Plain flour
2oz Caster sugar
Place all the ingredients into a bowl and rub together, when the mixture looks crumbly squeeze it together into a ball of dough. Roll the dough out and use a shaped cutter to make your cookie.Place them on a baking sheet and put them in the oven for 15-20mins gas mark 3, 170oC or 325oF.
Leave to cool then enjoy......
