Gamlingay Rainbow Pre-school

Children may join Rainbow Pre-School from the age of 2 years 6 months.  Although we have restricted changing facilities we are happy to work alongside parents/carers with the toileting of their child.  We have all the necessary equipment for nappy changing along with a selection of potties and training seats.  It is recommended that when starting Pre-School the children attend a minimum of 2 sessions per week so that get used to the staff, routines and just as important we get to know them.

Visits to Pre-School, prior to starting, are a great way to meet everyone (staff, parents/carers and children) and to get an idea of how Rainbow is run.  If you would like to visit please speak to the Pre-School Manager. Once you have completed your registration form and booked your child’s sessions the place is assured and, you will receive both written confirmation at the time and a reminder just before your child is due to start.

If there are no vacancies for when you would like your child to start Pre-School we operate a waiting list and are guided by our admissions policy for the allocation of places when they next become available.

The Pre-School is well equipped to cater for children with special educational needs and fosters strong relations with the support agencies.  We have a qualified Special Educational Needs Officer on the staff – Penny Kerr.

Once enrolled the practice of Rainbow Pre-School is to treat all children as individuals regardless of race, religion, culture, gender or special needs.  Similarly we have an Equalities Coordinator on the staff – Diana Matthews.
